How You Can Help

The Justice High School (JHS) bands are fortunate to have received vital support from a variety of individuals and groups outside the school system. While financial donations are perhaps the most obvious way to help, any kind of support is gratefully accepted and valued, and makes the donor a part of the growing JHS band community.
In the current economic climate, financial support in particular is more valuable than ever. Donors can allocate their donations for a specific aspect of the band program (the Strope Scholarship Fund, private lesson scholarships, future commissioning projects, etc.) or to the general fund, where they can be used to support a variety of student needs.

To make a tax-deductible donation, please send a check or money order made out to “Justice High School Band Boosters” to the following address:
Justice High School Band Boosters
PO Box 1640
Falls Church VA 22041

You can also use the PayPal button below to make a direct donation. Please specify in the notes whether it's a general donation or a Terry and Ryan Strope Fund donation. THANK YOU!

Note: If you donate by PayPal, 2.2% plus a $0.30 service fee will be charged. It will not be added to your total donation. For example, a donation of $25.00 will result in $24.15 going to the band and $0.85 toward PayPal fees.

…and there are many other ways to help!
If you have any musical instruments in your home which are no longer in use and are in decent working condition (or could be with inexpensive repair), the JHS bands would be happy to accept them as donations suitable for tax deduction. There are other resources suitable for donation as well, from recording equipment to office supplies. Contact Mr. Thomas at for more information.

If you are a professional performing musician, or are in contact with one, the JHS bands would love your help! As one example, you may wish to come and give a free or reduced-price group lesson to a section of the band, which can serve to recruit future students. (More than half of the students at Justice High School qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Many students in the bands cannot afford private lessons.) Contact Mr. Thomas at for more information.

Finally, there are myriad ways to help with our wonderful band booster organization. Fitting and altering marching uniforms; chaperoning students on trips; making or organizing food for events; data entry and other office-related work; the list goes on. Please take a look at the About Us page to see a list of the many activities we have, and consider volunteering to chair one of them. Creative ideas and resources welcome! Please visit our Sign-up Genius to see other ways you can support the JHS bands.

Contact Mark Lambert, our band booster president, at to learn more – or, just come to one of our usually-monthly band booster meetings! Check the calendar for dates.
Thank you for your interest and support of the JHS bands.
